Avoiding Ethical Landmines in Mineral and Lease Buying

Speaker: Jason D. Baker, Attorney at Law, P.C.
Speaker Bio: Jason Baker has been the managing partner of Jason D. Baker, Attorney at Law, P.C. since 2004.  His practice involves the representation of a wide range of oil and gas producers from the major oil companies to regional operators, and royalty owners.  He also maintains a general practicing including estate planning, probate, business law and litigation. He has served as outside general counsel for oil companies.

Jason received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Letters in 1998 from the University of Oklahoma.  He then received a Juris Doctor in 2002 from the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and served as an editor.

Jason has written over 1,000 oil and gas title opinions and has been part of the Oklahoma Bar Association Title Standards Committee, having authored a note in the Oklahoma Title Standards. He has served as an expert witness in civil cases involving oil and gas title.  He also has served in the Tulsa County Bar Association as a member of the Board of Directors and on the executive committee in the Mineral Law Section (prior to it being the Energy Law Section).

To make educational credits available to our membership in a convenient manner, TAPL will host this event in a virtual format. It will be streamed via Zoom at no cost. When registering for the event, please be sure to include your current email address, as TAPL will use the registration details to coordinate Zoom invitations. Zoom can be downloaded for free online, but will not be necessary to view the presentation. All you will need is a phone or computer and access to the internet.
