Thomas D. Gillespie, P.G. – licensed professional geologist with 38 years’ experience in environmental risk reduction and expert representation for private sector clients in local, state and federal regulatory programs and in all levels of the court system. In addition to his consulting career he was director of field operations and the environment for a natural gas exploration and development company, and served two consecutive six-year terms as Gubernatorial appointee to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, including serving two terms as President of that Board. For twelve years he was Pennsylvania’s representative to the National Association of State Boards of Geology including serving on the Executive Committee.

From 1988 until 2019 he was an adjunct professor at several universities at which he taught geology and meteorology, with an emphasis on energy and climate issues. He has served in advisory and directorship roles for the Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists, the Marcellus Shale Coalition and has been a presenter on energy and climate for university organizations, local and regional chambers of commerce, civic organizations and local television discussion panels.
