MICHAEL D. STACK
 

            Michael D. Stack is a sole practitioner in Edmond, Oklahoma. He received a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Oklahoma and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1974.

            His practice is primarily litigation before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. He is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, Minerals Lawyer Society of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court of the Western District of Oklahoma.


            He was associated with Texas Oil & Gas Corp. Beginning his career at Texas Oil & Gas Corp. as a Landman, at the time of leaving, he was Land Manager and Attorney, handling proceedings before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. From 1979 to 1995, Mr. Stack, was a Senior Partner with Stack & Barnes, P.C.


            Mr. Stack has been a past lecturer for OBA/CLE seminars and Oklahoma Corporation Commission seminars, which would include “Current Events in Oil and Gas Law”, “Trends and Developments in Oil & Gas”, “Common Sources of Supply being held by a Pooling Order” and “The Nuts and Bolts of Oklahoma Forced Pooling”. He is author of “Life after the Amoco Decision” and instrumental in the paper “The Stack - King Formula”.
