Helpful Information in Completing the Application (1) Active Member Active Membership in the Organization is limited to landmen regularly employed or engaged in petroleum land work (2) Associate Member Associate Membership shall be available to persons who are active in or associated with the petroleum industry (3) Non-Resident Member Non-resident Membership shall be limited to landmen and persons who are active or associated with the petroleum industry and who live greater than 75 miles from Tulsa (4) Retired Member Retired Membership may be conferred upon application to and approval by the Executive Committee, on any Member who is at least 55 years of age, has at least 25 years active experience in land work , is fully retire from land work and has been a Member of the organization for the five consecutive years immediately preceding the retirement. TAPL Offers 5 Different Membership Types 1. Active Member Active Membership in the Organization is limited to landmen employed or engaged in petroleum land work. Where salaried, their employer must be regularly engaged in the oil and gas business. Once qualified under this section, eligibility under this section shall not be affected by location, classification of employment, departmental or managerial assignment. Nothing in this section is to deny Active Membership to those having supervision of those engaged in petroleum land work. Active Member dues include the meal and drinks at regular meetings, the directory, mailings and the right to participate in TAPL sponsored events at member rates. Active Members have the full right to vote and hold office in the TAPL. 2.
