Sara Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund The DAPL Board is pleased to announce we voted to donate $2,500 to the Sara Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund. This will bring the current Fund balance to approximately $10,000. It is necessary to accumulate a $40,000 endowment at the OU Foundation to provide for an annual $2,000 scholarship in Sara’s name, to be awarded to an Energy Management student. Due to the TAPL Spring Golf Tournament, there will not be a regular Dinner or Lunch meeting in May. The dinner following the golf tournament on Monday, May 14th will serve as TAPL’s final monthly dinner meeting of the 2006-07 membership year. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held in September 2007.

Website Registration Winner The results are in for the winner of the drawing among the TAPL.org registrants who entered our site within the first week. Congratulations to Gene Caldwell with Samson Resources Company. He is the winner of a $100 gift certificate to Doe’s Eat Place on Cherry Street.

The new TAPL website, www.tapl.org, will be the primary means of communication among TAPL Membership regarding organization events, so please take the time to explore the website and familiarize yourself with its features.

The University of Oklahoma’s Energy Management Awards Banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2007. This event honors the academic achievements of Energy Management students. This year’s banquet will be held in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom in Oklahoma Memorial Union located at 900 Asp Ave., Norman, Oklahoma. The reception begins at 5:30 pm followed by dinner at 7:00 pm.
